Hermanus Property Management (HPM) has been a cornerstone of property management in Hermanus and surrounding areas for decades. Founded by Alex van der Sluys and John Leppan, HPM built a reputation for excellence in real estate, construction, and sectional title management.

As the Managing Director of Hermanus Property Management, Michelle is the driving force behind the company’s strategic vision, leading with a blend of innovation, focus, and a passion for growth. With over [X] years of experience in industry, she’s played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s success and fostering lasting relationships with clients and partners.
When she’s not busy steering the company to new heights, Michelle can be found cycling through scenic routes or spending quality time with her family. She’s a firm believer that a healthy balance between work and life fuels creativity and strong leadership. Outside of her professional role, Michelle is dedicated to staying connected with his community and always up for new adventures.

Edelweiss – Portfolio Administrator
With over eight years of experience in property management, Edelweiss has developed a strong skill set and consistently delivers exceptional service. She is particularly skilled in coordinating and overseeing repairs and maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, with precision and care to meet clients’ needs. Her expertise and dedication make her a valuable asset to the team.
Outside of work, Edelweiss enjoys expanding her knowledge through insightful books and expressing her creativity through art. She cherishes time with family and friends, whether sharing meaningful conversations or enjoying a meal together. To unwind, she loves watching her favourite series, getting lost in engaging stories, and taking a break from the busyness of everyday life.

Yvette – Portfolio Manager
Yvette has successfully completed the HOA & Sectional Title Manager courses. She brings a wealth of knowledge in overseeing Sectional Title Scheme properties and managing Home Owners Associations. Her thorough grasp of property management and sectional title law makes her an invaluable asset to the team. Passionate about continually expanding her skills and knowledge, she is committed to providing the best service and solutions in this field.
When she’s not working, she loves spending quality time with her husband and two kids. She is also an avid furniture refurbisher, finding joy in breathing new life into old pieces. On the rare occasion she has downtime, you’ll find her diving into a suspenseful novel because nothing beats getting lost in a good book!

Michellé – Portfolio Administrator
Michellé brings valuable experience from the Human Resources sector and plays a key role in implementing policies and procedures for ground staff. Her strong client relations skills make her an essential part of the property management team, ensuring smooth operations and high client satisfaction. She tackles all things portfolio administration with a smile (and sometimes a laugh that only she finds funny). She thrives on a good challenge and is passionate about helping others in any way she can—even if it’s just making them laugh, even when they don’t quite get her jokes.
Coming from a big, close-knit family, Michellé is all about creating memories with loved ones in her downtime. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her enjoying delicious food, sipping wine, and living life to the fullest. As she puts it, “After all, life’s too short to not savour both the big and small moments.”

Yolanda – Portfolio Accountant
With over 15 years of experience in finance, Yolanda is passionate about numbers, and for her, crunching numbers is more than just a job—it’s a passion. She takes great pride in ensuring accuracy and delivering high-quality results. She thrives on new challenges and is committed to continuous learning and growth within the property management industry. Adaptable and always ready to assist, she upholds the highest standards in her work. Known for her honesty, attention to detail, and strict adherence to accounting practices, she is a reliable and trusted member of the team.
Outside of work, Yolanda loves spending time with her children and two grandchildren, whether it’s taking them to the park or going for walks with the little ones. Their energy and laughter bring the perfect balance to her world.
